Description
Due to popular demand, the Extreme Event game is back! Join us on Wednesday, May 14, for a disaster resilience game that is full of twists, turns, and challenging surprises.
When you arrive, you will become part of a team that represents an important segment of a resilient community. Work together to prioritize resources to help your community weather an extreme event. Do you have what it takes to survive in the short-term and long-term? Then collaborate with your neighborhood groups to solve tough challenges and balance the trade-offs. This game raises real-world questions about what it takes to make our communities more resilient.
The Extreme Event game has been improved and made more challenging based on player feedback. The new version starts with a fun ice breaker, contains more surprises to keep you on your toes, and has a broader cast of characters. This program is part of the museum’s interactive “Science Social” series examining community resilience.
Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended as past programs have sold out. Admission is $10 / $7 for students, and includes food and beverages. Please review our public program ticket policy.
